About Us
Who We Are
R.I.S.E Collective Canada was founded from a bold vision: to reimagine what youth leadership, creativity, and cultural unity could look like. Created by 17-year-old Ava Jasmine Dedier and fueled by countless conversations with young creatives who saw the cracks in existing systems, RISE exists to fill the spaces where opportunity, representation, and authentic community building have been missing.
We are more than an organization. We are a catalyst for the future. We connect the fresh energy of youth with the wisdom of elder voices, creating bridges between cultures, generations, and dreams.
Our four pillars guide everything we do:
- Evaluate the systemic gaps limiting BIPOC youth and community members
- Elevate emerging leaders and changemakers
- Express identity, pride, and creativity through art, education, literature, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship
- Empower our community with knowledge, mentorship, and action
We are planting new cultural roots, growing a collective that rises — together.
Our Approach
EVALUATE
Through careful assessment of community needs and systemic barriers, we identify the gaps that need to be filled and the opportunities that can be created.
ELEVATE
We amplify voices that have been historically marginalized, creating platforms for new perspectives and highlighting achievements often overlooked.
EXPRESS
We encourage authentic self-expression through various creative mediums, believing that art and creativity are powerful tools for healing, communication, and change.
